I have a H.S. Diploma (Graduated with Honors), B.A. Film Production, Dance Minor, also graduated with honors. Taking the LSAT in October 2010 for next Fall’s law school admissions.
Do you have a job or do you live on welfare?
I work a Full Time Job working in Foreclosure Mediation. My title is Director of Housing and Lead Internal Auditor but it extends to weekly court mediations helping homeowner's who are facing foreclosure, sheriff sale, and other mortgage related issues. I have been invited to work on the State of NJ task force to help eliminate foreclosures in the State by finding creative solutions to enhancing the Foreclosure Mediation program. Additionally, I work Full Time as President & Founder of Pinups for Pitbulls, Inc. I am currently coordinating seminars to help educate Bully Breed Owners & potential adopters on Positive Reinforcement Training, Breed Discriminatory laws, and how to be a positive role model for Bully Breed dogs. Our first Seminar takes place this November in Collingswood, NJ.
Since you have a degree and a job, does that mean you also vote?
Yes, absolutely. My dog votes too! (Through me, of course).
Why did you go out looking for a pit bull, aren't they just for drug dealers and gangsters?
I did not go out looking to adopt a pit bull. Quite the contrary. My dream dog was a Wolf Hybrid Husky. I never imagined owning a bully breed dog. I was volunteering at Morris Animal Refuge weekly back when I first fell in love with a pit bull-type dog. The "refuge" had a kill pit bull policy back in 1996 (and still does today). I had never seen a pit bull come into the rescue, so I never thought anything of it. One day a perfectly good female pit bull mix came in the front door. I took the dog back to its cage and fell in love with her. Unfortunately Morris Animal Refuge reminded me that they do not adopt out pit bull type dogs. I felt sick knowing the fate of this helpless dog. I immediately got on my computer to find a pit bull rescue to take the dog. Back in the mid-90’s internet searches weren’t as thorough as they are now and not every rescue had a website. I found a rescue in Texas, CHAKO.org. I sent them an email and they were on the phone with the refuge, sent letters, faxes, anything to save the dog…but to no avail. After watching this dog be given absolutely no chance at a better life simply because of her breed, I decided to adopt a pit bull from CHAKO.org. Her name is Carla Lou.
Have you learned anything from having a pit bull?
I have learned everything I have ever needed to know from knowing pit bulls. I have learned that you should always defend your best friend. You are lucky to be loved by them. They know compassion and forgiveness more than any other type of dog. They are survivors and will love you even when they have been treated poorly. They are kind, noble, gentle, and true to their hearts. I have always seen Carla Lou as my "little buddha." Always reminding me to be my best and to have an open heart. It has also taught me to learn how to argue productively. To listen to the opposition so I can understand where they're coming from. Carla Lou is my best friend and hero. It is keeping Carla Lou and other dogs like her safe from breed ban laws and discrimination that has been the inspiration for starting Pinups for Pit Bulls, Inc., a grass roots group of bully-breed advocates who sell merchandise, host events, and spread awareness about bully breeds and breed specific legislation. Pinups for Pit Bulls is most known for its annual pinup calendar that features pinups posing with rescue pit bulls.

Isn't modeling with pit bull type dogs dangerous?
Oh definitely, you run the risk of falling in love on every set!
Who would ever want to buy a calendar with pit bulls in it?
Who wouldn't want to buy a calendar with beautiful dogs and their beautiful ladies? We have sold over 4000 calendars in the year's we have been a charitable organization. We have sold them to people in multiple countries including but not limited to France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and more! We have over 20,000 fans on our facebook page and are continually growing. Not only that, but Pinups for Pit Bulls has been featured in Best Friends Animal Society’s magazine and also featured on Animal Planet. The proceeds from the calendar sales go to bully breed rescues and advocacy organizations. In 2009, we raised over $20,000 in funds from merchandise, calendar sales, and events, that was then donated to sponsor pit bull type dogs throughout the country.
