What we did with $600
Katie, 10/6/2010
On May 29, 2010, a devastating fire broke out in an apartment complex in Lawrence, KS. Caught in the fire was a Gold Retriever mix named Riley. Game Dog Guardian’s Anthony Barnett was at the scene and helped rush Riley and his owner to a vet clinic where another GDG team member, Jennifer Livingood, works. Riley had third-degree burns all over his body, including his feet, face and mouth.
Riley was in good hands at the vet clinic and made a full recovery. Last month, Riley’s owner David Szczucinski and Riley visited Barnett to say thank you. Along with the reunion between Barnett and Riley, Szczucinski dropped off a $600 donation for GDG to show his appreciation for Barnett’s help. We are incredibly grateful for Szczucinski’s donation.
GDG believes in transparency in funding and particularly during the tax-exempt application process. Inasmuch, we would like to take this opportunity to turn around and say thank you right back to Riley and his dad. Because of their generosity, we were able to care for several dogs in our program.

We are also proud to present our Available Dog Sponsor Program:
Our sponsor program allows you to help a dog in our program whether you are near or far, and is particularly helpful if you wish you could adopt or foster but simply don't have the space or time. The minimum sponsorship amount is $200 and that goes toward the dog's veterinary care, training equipment, and anything specific you would like the dog to have - like a fun toy or fluffy bed. The GDG team will send you periodic updates on your sponsored dog including progress in training, pictures, and updates on events. If you don't have $200, but would still like to gift something to a particular dog, simply note that in the message section of Paypal and our team will follow through on your request. If you'd like updates, please indicate that and your email address in the message section as well.
To sponsor a dog:

2. Enter the donation amount (and click update total),
